Consciousness Speaks Podcast Episode 5 – What is Mind?

In this episode, I talk about how little we know about the Mind and how this lack of Consciousness sets us up for danger, disease, lack, injustice and conflict. But even these dire consequences are not what they seem to be. Listen and learn that your Good has never been missing!

Consciousness and your Good is a matter of Order.

Believe it or not, Consciousness or lack of It, determines your experience, so, following on from podcast #4 on the subject, let’s explore Consciousness a bit more.

The trouble is, we don’t understand the meaning of Consciousness at all. And because Consciousness is our Self, we don’t understand our Self. Our lack of understanding is evident in the belief that we are body or “in” a body. But think about it…you can’t believe and act without consciousness! Your Mind and Body are instruments of Consciousness. They are for your use! The body and mind (which is often mistaken for the brain) do not control you. It’s the other way around. You are always the director. When it looks as though your body unexpectedly falls ill or has an accident, you have directed it (through your mind) with your fear of not being in control.

Consciousness is Spirit, Love, Intelligence and Power; It Is your Good. The Mind and Body would follow along if we were Conscious of this, because Mind and Body are Consciousness in different forms much like ice and steam are different forms of water. Therefore, Consciousness, Mind and Body should not be separated from one another. Consciousness (Spirit), Mind and Body are One. But it is important to remember, in addition to this, that Consciousness comes first in the Order, then Mind, then Body.

Now, when we lack Consciousness of this Order, we switch the order… we think consciousness emanates from the body. Conventional thought supposes that the activity of the brain produces consciousness. This does not make it true, but because we think it is true, our consciousness is limited down. How? If consciousness, mind and body are one…in that order…then the reversal of the order in our mind (to body first followed by mind, and finally consciousness) creates an out-of-order experience that lacks Consciousness of its own Truth. The result is that the deluded thinker must feel out of control in a world that, unbeknownst to it, is reflecting its own delusional consciousness back to its self as destruction, negativity, chaos and suffering.

What do we do about it?

Make the correction in your mind. Acknowledge the Truth. The Truth is that You are Infinite Spiritual Consciousness. You are Love, Intelligence and Power. You are your own Good. When you Know You are not limited to a body, but limitless in your Consciousness that you are Consciousness sensed as Body, you set the order straight in your mind and, as a consequence, the correct Order is directed to flow. Love, Intelligence and Power is then Revealed As your bodily experience of Good.

Consciousness Speaks Podcast Episode 4 – What is Consciousness?

If we knew we were not body, but the Consciousness that is sensed As the body, we would release ourselves from all the lacks from which we suffer; lacks such as disease, poverty, insecurity and conflict. Listen how we can release ourselves from the self-defeating cycle of human consciousness.

Consciousness Speaks Podcast Episode 3 – What is Truth?

Consciousness Speaks Episode 2

This episode is about connecting to your Spiritual Self and discerning the difference between that Spiritual Self, I, and the one you think is you, little i.

Consciousness Speaks Podcast Episode 1

In this first episode, I introduce myself by sharing an audio of the launch of my debut book, “i didn’t do It, I did”. The event was held on June 22, 2018, at Gleebooks in Sydney, Australia.

Is a blessing a disguised curse?

all-hallows-eve-moon-223x223Halloween or “All Hallows Eve”, in some countries, is a day dedicated to remembering the dead, particularly saints (hallows). Saints would be horrified at what has become a commercial side-show to glorify our fear of the dead and death. Or would they?

Would the things people think and do, good or bad, worry a saint? If a connection to Truth is a pre-requisite of a saint, probably not. Truth doesn’t come out of its orbit and judge the fearful imaginings of humanity.

Why, then, should we remember the saints? Perhaps to remember that we are blessed, like the saints, through our remembering of Truth. Instead, we entertain the horrors of this world as if we are cursed. And we are, because we, unlike the saints, give dominion of our mind to the idea that we can be hurt and die.

For we who believe in curses, a blessing can work if we want it to. More often, though, our desire for a blessing is undermined by a more powerful belief that we are powerless and vulnerable to outside forces. Why else would we ask for a blessing? It is we who accept the idea that we can be blessed. But by accepting that we can be blessed, don’t we also accept that we can be cursed? The desire for a blessing, then, feeds our fear of death as much as our belief that we can be cursed.

Think how curses are often more effective than blessings. Ancient human cultures have used the curse to manipulate people for thousands of years. Sometimes material substances or objects are used as an intermediary, but these are used only to amplify the effect of the curse. It is the mind of the recipient that must be secretly coerced to accept the manipulation. The Voodoo practice of West Africa uses effigies. The Kahunas of Hawaii use rituals, chants and poisons. The Australian indigenous people use a curse called “pointing the bone”. In no instance, however, does the device or substance, the act, or even the intent behind the action affect the victim. It is the conviction in the power of the technique believed by the “victim”.

So let us take back the power of the mind by remembering this Halloween how we are blessed by our natural ability to know the Truth. Otherwise blessings will be disguised curses.

Why the intellect is not Intelligent.

Humans often confuse the intellect with intelligence.

The “intellect” is the faculty of thinking; believing, analysing, conceptualizing and understanding. Although important, it is limited to what is already existing. we sense and then we think.

By contrast, “Intelligence” is the capacity for thinking; an expansion that extends into Infinity. Intelligence is “Creative” and comes prior to sensing because it produces what we sense and then think about with our intellect. Watch your intellect question this, reasoning that there is no proof.

But the intellect can’t prove Cause from the position of the result. Therefore, the intellect cannot be Intelligent.

Luckily You are not the intellect.

You are Intelligence Itself!

Do Flowers fear Life?

Fear not Life

Fear is faith in your antagonist, otherwise why respond?

You cry; “my loss proves fear was justified”

Does fear need justification?

Suspicious eyes, shoulders turned, fear shuns the Life that would dispel it.

Life breathes even while your contrived smiles hide the dread.

Life’s Heart beats in spite of threats; Flowers bloom, Sun shines, Earth rotates.

Fear hopes you won’t find out.

Your response is everything.

Smoke fear out of its hole and Live!

Awakening. What is it?

Consciousness“People are constantly crossing over the threshold of Eternity. The door is open if you can stay Awake.” [1]

What does Rumi mean by “Awake”?

Surely not the first and most familiar dictionary definition; “to cease to sleep; to come out of sleep.”

No, it’s too obvious. There’s another; “to be roused from a state of inaction; to become active.”

If the “rouser” is us, it seems feasible that this inaction could mean sleep or lethargy. That’s normal. We also know what it is like to “awaken” from these states and, by comparison we become active. However, since Rumi wasn’t talking about our normal awake state, could this definition hint at something deeper? If so, who could this rouser be? And what is this state of inaction from which we are to be roused? And into what activity are we to be roused? Maybe we should look deeper.

Actually, there is a further definition; “to be invigorated with new life; as, the mind awakes from its stupidity; he Awoke to life’s higher significance.”

Ah, with this deeper definition, could the implication be that the active wakefulness, of which we are normally aware, is merely an idiotic stupor from which it is not only possible to be roused, but to be invigorated into new life? In the Greek language, the word for “Truth” is alethia, meaning “out of lethargy” suggesting there is no Truth to the stupor at all. If so, it certainly suggests that this new life has nothing to do with our normal “awake” state whatsoever.

It turns out that simply by Recognizing the stupor, We Awaken from it, because We, the Eternal Awakened Self, Is the only One who can Recognize it.

The door to Eternity is open, if you can stay Awake!
